The Latin term for “twins,” Gemini has perhaps become the most popular sign of the zodiac for its globally recognized twoness, its mirrored imagery. As a constellation, under the tropical zodiac, the sun crosses Gemini roughly between May 21 and June 21 each year.

These five works of art celebrate the inherent duality that is Gemini. They include Twins by Fred Jones; Faces For Two Worlds by Elizabeth Catlett; Twins by Khalif Thompson; Untitled male #1 by Paul Goodnight; and Hear My Cry by Ulysses Marshall.
