Charly Palmer\u00a0(born June 29, 1960) is an American Fine Artist.\u00a0Palmer was born in Fayette, Alabama\u00a0and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended the Art Institute of Chicago\u00a0and received\u00a0a degree from the American Academy of Art.<\/p>\n

Palmer’s subjects have included civil rights,\u00a0 landscapes and portraits. Primarily an acrylic\u00a0painter, Palmer also works in a variety of media.<\/p>\n

Palmer created the 1996 Olympic Poster, and again in 1998 the US Olympic Committee\u00a0honored Palmer by selecting him to paint the US Olympic Poster for the Winter Olympics\u00a0in Nagano, Japan.\u00a0He has mentored several artists, including Tamara Natalie Madden.<\/p>\n

He has exhibited at the African American Museum of Southern New Jersey,\u00a0the DuSable Museum of African American History and in many other museums and galleries throughout the country.<\/p>\n
