Pencil on Paper Gallery is celebrating Frank Frazier and Juneteenth in a solo exhibition with guest artists, Seidah Williams and Frederick Douglass Moore. Sponsored by The Simmons Family Foundation and Chocolate Secrets, an artist reception will be held from 2pm to 7pm on Saturday, June 19, 2021.
Nationally acclaimed artist, Frank Frazier has been creating art for over 60 years. A New York native, but home to Dallas visual artist, Frazier has inspired many artists and art enthusiasts through his exhibitions across the United States. His legacy not only resides in his art, but also through his passion for assisting and guiding artists.
A veteran and a supporter of museums, galleries, and organizations, Frazier continually creates bodies of work that illustrate historical moments and present Black experiences that not only educate but unite communities at large. Frazier’s art celebrates moments in our history that connect our narratives to America as well as to the Africa. Newly created works on paper will debut in Frank Frazier’s exhibition, “I Still Ain’t Got No Damn 40 Acres and Where’s the Damn Mule” at Pencil on Paper Gallery for one week only! Help us honor Frank at the age of 78! We humbly invite everyone to meet the artist and enjoy a silkscreen demonstration in the gallery at 6pm.
