Circa 1970 – 1978. I founded it to facilitate the transition from talented youth to emerging professional then on to life long artists. We were beyond the narrow orthodoxy of the then Black Art Movement folks as we were about taking the potent ideas and concepts in the visual aspects of the Black Cultural Movevment into the professional mainstream arenas. And we did! Join in examining the launch, life & legacy of B.A.G.: The Black Arts Guild.
