Thanks for this story. Well done! Art by black artists has been considered a second rate
product. Consider the fact that artists of color, had their art careers retarded by slavery.
Playing catch up is an art from in it’s self. I am an American artist. I have a working class
artlife, I have a working class paying audience. I just happen to be black. I make a solid
work of art , I get to heat and eat by my savvy BUSINESS SKILLS. I learned business practice
by going to the business book section in the library. I still go get some answers there.
I coach artists ,if they request, on how to sell wht they make. i do this at no charge.

So what is the criteria for getting artwork of african americans into museums? You have a lot of artists of color who can’t get in or are not allowed in. Just want to know the rules or requirements
