Comments on: Putting Their Money Where the Black Art Is: Museums Collect African American Art https://earthexhibitions.org/media-archive/?p=4632 Mon, 24 Dec 2018 18:50:39 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.0.6 By: Bob Ragland https://earthexhibitions.org/media-archive/?p=4632#comment-139 Sat, 15 Dec 2018 01:07:45 +0000 http://media-archive.blackartinamerica.com/?p=4632#comment-139 Thanks for this story. Well done! Art by black artists has been considered a second rate
product. Consider the fact that artists of color, had their art careers retarded by slavery.
Playing catch up is an art from in it’s self. I am an American artist. I have a working class
artlife, I have a working class paying audience. I just happen to be black. I make a solid
work of art , I get to heat and eat by my savvy BUSINESS SKILLS. I learned business practice
by going to the business book section in the library. I still go get some answers there.
I coach artists ,if they request, on how to sell wht they make. i do this at no charge.
Thanks for your diligence.
Sincerely,
Bob Ragland- Founder of the NON starving project in Denver, Colorado

You have a lot of artists of color who can’t get in or are not allowed in. Just want to know the rules or requirements
