I cant wait for this show to touch down in New York City at the Brooklyn Museum later this year. Kudos to all that have made this exhibition a reality and a moment of silence for those artists recently departed including but not limited to: Barkley Hendricks, Jack Whitten, Barbara Jones Hogu and Betty Blayton. Their memory, genius and struggle live on.

Ok yes the show will travel to the Brooklyn Museum later this summer however Crystal Bridges was the first Museum that agreed to take the exhibit in the states after all others declined.

I think there some confusion. This exhibition is going to travel to the Brooklyn Museum, New York. So it is not just opening in Arkansas.

It could not have been written any better. A person that has been denied my human rights. Keep fighting for a change. We have such a long way to go. I’m so very proud of what you’re doing. Thanks to Alice Walton for making this black art show possible.

I am a lover of everything Black & Beautiful thank you so much for the motivation to even speak of this beauty. And I really got the message about Aunt Jemima just like when they gave her a perm back in the 90’s. Thank you

To quote you, “Not in that we have arrived and our journey is complete but in this very moment we are present, see value and are refreshed and motivated.”

The questions raised iis Where do we go from here?
